Moreover, it uses depth-of-cut scales, which ensure consistency in lumber thickness. The mill can cut logs, both hardwood, and softwood, of up to a 14-inch diameter. You get to choose the height to set up the log, and once that is done, the log stays stationary while the saw head cuts through it.
